Andy Hendricks is Vice President responsible for environmental work performed out of GTA’s Sterling, Virginia office. Andy has 25 years of experience (13 with GTA) achieving environmental solutions with clients in the telecommunications, banking, real estate, insurance, legal, and industrial communities.
His work includes liability management, corrective action, subsurface investigations and remediation, industrial compliance, and litigation support. Specific types of projects Andy has managed include RCRA Facility Investigations, site assessments, Remedial Investigations (RI), Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and transaction screens, underground storage tank closures, subsurface characterization, asbestos building surveys, insurance claim investigations, and remedial cost analysis. He has managed various National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects and has extensive experience performing Environmental Assessments and coordinating with various State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs) and Tribal Historic Preservation Offices (THPO).
Andy’s work has included performance of projects in accordance with the requirements of state and federal regulations including Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) (Superfund); RCRA Corrective Action; RCRA Subtitle D; Pennsylvania Land Recycling Program (Act 2); NEPA; Virginia Voluntary Remediation Program; Virginia UST Program; New Jersey Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA); Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNREC); as well as the regulatory programs in Maryland, the District of Columbia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Juniata College and has performed graduate level work in hydrogeology at Wright State University. He is a registered Professional Geologist (P.G.) in Virginia and Pennsylvania and a Licensed Remediation Specialist (LRS) in West Virginia. Additionally, he is a member of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists, Northern Virginia Building Industry Association, and Virginia Wireless Association.
