GTA-NY has provided COT services for several projects for Westchester Medical Center.
Sample projects include: 280,000-SF Ambulatory Care Pavilion; Main Lobby Addition; Emergency Steam Pipe Repairs; Radiology improvements; CATH Lab improvements; Third Floor Neuro ICU; Neuro ICU upgrades; CDU at Children’s Hospital; Pediatric In-Patient Unit; Ronald McDonald House; CTEL at Taylor Pavilion; Taylor Care Center Executive Boardroom; Sleep Center; parking lot modifications.
Geotechnical engineering, construction observation and testing, and special inspection services.
One-story, 23,500-SF, 40-bed patient addition; 8,500-SF addition; 207-SF lounge addition; 280-SF vestibule addition; and site improvements including a SWM basin, a new paved entry circle, and parking areas.
Fills ranging up to 3 feet above the existing surface grades were required to achieve the planned floor slab subgrade levels.
Drilling, lab testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, & COT services for the 100-acre, 1.2 million-SF residential, retail, & commercial development, located at the site of a former sand & gravel mine reclaimed with fly ash.
Site issues encountered included: fly ash fill, loose fly ash, uncontrolled fill, a stump dump, a deep mined hole, a tall retaining wall on uncontrolled fill, an existing deep sewer with poor backfill, and a proposed deep sewer close to a building.
GTA provided geotechnical engineering and natural resource planning services in conjunction with the comprehensive master land use plan for large warehouse/distribution (up to 1,500,000 SF in size) and office uses at the 1,000-acre property with rail access and close proximity to I-95.
Also provided geotechnical explorations and recommendations, natural resources planning, environmental consulting, & COT services for several parcels at the business park.
COT services during the development of the 30.6-acre park including pavilions, picnic areas, athletic fields, restrooms, a walking trail, parking lot, and Maryland State Highway Administration improvements.
Observation and testing for stormwater management facilities, grading, topsoil, road fills, pavement sections, and concrete work.
Laboratory testing of the soils, concrete, and asphalt materials used during construction.
Geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, COT services for the 161-acre community with 820 single-family homes and townhome lots, 208 apartment units within six buildings, two clubhouses, & two swimming pools.
