  • Geotechnical engineering and COT services for the 155,000-SF, seven-story hotel, founded on 394 vibro-piers. Building design imitates the “Warehouse” building at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.
  • Geotechnical engineering for the 44-acre summer camp including recommendations for foundations, slabs, retaining walls, pavements, and a stormwater management facility.
  • Geotechnical engineering and COT services for the 6,300-seat Ripken Stadium, including the use of lime-stabilization of parking and drive areas for pavement support.

Rogers Ford Stream Restoration, Joppa, MD

  • GTA provided construction observation services of the stream mitigation, which consisted of restoration of approximately 360 feet of a severely degraded tributary to Foster Branch.

APG, Littoral Warfare Environmental Test Facility, APG, MD

  • 400’ x 100’, 20’‑deep, excavated pond with a 6’ wave machine for testing amphibious vehicles for beachfront assaults at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.
  • Services included geotechnical explorations and recommendations, design of a 32’ tall reinforced earth retaining wall, and slope stability analysis for the dynamic forces imposed by underwater charges of up to 500 pounds of TNT equivalent.
  • Piezometers were installed to depths of 50’ to evaluate groundwater levels.

21-Mile Pipeline Installation, Third Party Independent Environmental Monitor Support, MD

  • Provided independent environmental monitoring services for the installation of 21.1 miles of 26-inch diameter pipeline and associated facilities.
  • Work included construction inspection of the pipeline and associated site improvements including sediment control features, approving low-impact plan modifications, submitting reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
