GTA Associates, Inc. is delighted to announce that Brandon Richards has been promoted to Associate.

Brandon’s leadership and technical expertise continue to strengthen the value GTA delivers to clients throughout the Greater Triad and surrounding markets. His ability to manage complex projects, foster collaboration, and respond quickly to field conditions helps clients maintain momentum and achieve successful project outcomes through practical, service driven solutions.

With more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction observation, and special inspections, Brandon specializes in materials testing, quality assurance, and inspection services for projects that demand close coordination during construction. His experience includes transportation infrastructure, municipal and institutional facilities, large scale industrial and manufacturing sites, and commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. Brandon’s work spans North Carolina and Virginia, where he has supported projects such as The Resurgent mixed-use development in Greensboro, the Balladeer Hotel and Entertainment Venue redevelopment in Mount Airy, Somerset Heights and Maple Grove residential communities in Winston Salem, and major hospitality and resort developments in Virginia.

Brandon has also managed construction observation and special inspections for complex facilities including university buildings, public schools, healthcare and community centers, postal facilities, and large distribution and manufacturing plants. His hands on involvement during mass grading, foundation installation, structural construction, and paving operations reflects his commitment to quality control, schedule awareness, and clear communication among owners, contractors, and design teams.

He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a B.S. in General Science from Morehouse College. Brandon is registered as an Engineering Intern in North Carolina and actively contributes to the industry through leadership roles, including serving as President of NAIOP Triad, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and as a board member for PTCREW and the External Advisory Board for Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University.

Brandon’s depth of experience, combined with his client-focused approach and long-standing relationships throughout the region, continues to make him an important contributor to GTA’s construction observation and special inspection services.
