DANIEL C. GREWE, P.E., NEW GTA ASSOCIATE

 

Since joining GTA in 2016, Dan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise. A licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Dan brings nine years of experience in geotechnical engineering, overseeing complex subsurface exploration programs, laboratory testing, and engineering evaluations.

He provides geotechnical recommendations for a wide range of development types, including residential, commercial, high-rise, and industrial projects. His work frequently involves analysis and design guidance for shallow and deep foundations, ground improvement strategies, earthwork, stormwater management systems, pavement design, retaining walls, and slope stability. In addition, he performs specialized evaluations such as retaining wall and bulkhead design, settlement analysis, wick drain layout, and seepage assessments. His project experience is concentrated in the Baltimore–Washington corridor and extends throughout central and western Maryland, southern Maryland, and the Eastern Shore.

Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and holds multiple certifications, including WACEL Soils and Concrete Technician levels and Maryland Erosion and Sediment Control.

Dan’s work has been instrumental in delivering innovative geotechnical solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial developments. His current project portfolio includes, Pinegrove, a planned 3,170-unit mixed use development spanning 1,020-acres in Charles County, MD; the redesign of the Domino Sugar bulkhead in Baltimore City requiring pipe piles ranging from 30 to 48 inches in diameter, driven up to depths of up to 80 feet; and data center developments in karst terrain in Frederick County, MD requiring specialized geotechnical evaluation and design.
