We are pleased to announce the opening of our Texas Region office in Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW)!
GTA Vice President, Tom Wirth, P.E., is Principal-In-Charge of this new office which strengthens our ability to meet the geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing needs of clients throughout Texas and nearby states.
The DFW office serves residential, commercial, industrial, energy, and institutional clients, contractors, architects, and civil engineering firms by providing timely, value-based solutions to problematic conditions and construction challenges related to expansive clay soil, seismic activity, limestone formations, and soil variability. Services provided out of this office include geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and construction materials testing (CMT) services. Like most GTA locations, this office will also feature a state-of-the-art geotechnical and CMT lab.
Tom has 24 years of experience with GTA performing and managing quality control, providing design services, and developing cost-effective solutions to geotechnical challenges for a wide array of geotechnical and CMT projects. He is responsible for maintaining GTA’s longstanding quality of personnel, services, and deliverables.

We are pleased to announce that Jeromi Kelsey has joined GTA as an Associate to manage our new Dallas-Fort Worth office.
Jeromi Kelsey, P.E., brings 12 years of professional experience working closely with clients to successfully execute a multitude of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (CMT) projects in a wide range of markets, including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and municipal. As an Associate and Branch Manager with GTA, Jeromi is responsible for managing subsurface explorations, developing geotechnical recommendations, quality control and quality assurance on CMT projects, making sure that reports and test summaries are delivered accurately to clients and relevant government agencies, training and managing GTA team-members, business development, budget monitoring, and client satisfaction.
Jeromi specializes in the planning of subsurface explorations, and the geotechnical analysis and design recommendations for a wide variety of projects requiring shallow and deep foundations, mass earthwork, rock excavation, flexible and rigid pavement, groundwater and drainage.
His field expertise includes monitoring and logging geotechnical sampling, observing test pits, and evaluating post-injection test borings. He has significant hands-on experience with subgrade verification, density testing, chemical stabilization of pavement subgrades, reinforcing steel inspections, concrete testing, concrete coring, and non-destructive concrete testing.
Jeromi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas. Jeromi is a member of several professional and industry organizations including American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Texas Council of Engineering Laboratories (TCEL).
Jeromi’s ability to diligently manage projects, document project status, identify key project milestones, recognize budgetary constraints, keep project schedules on track, develop a rapport with clients and contractors, and critically assess project challenges has provided great value, yielding tangible savings for past clients.
With more than a decade of experience managing construction projects ranging from preliminary subgrade investigations through completion of construction Jeromi will be able to help you anticipate construction issues and provide solutions to mitigate the potential budgetary concerns and impact to project timelines.
