We are pleased to announce that James C. Thompson has been promoted to Associate of GTA!

As an Associate with more than 15 years of experience in the field of environmental consulting, James Thompson is responsible for client relations, project management, and assisting in the development and training of environmental staff.

James has extensive experience with environmental investigation and remediation throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions.  He has managed environmental aspects of residential, multi-family, commercial, and industrial development and remediation projects for a range of clients including private developers, lenders, commercial partnerships, institutional property management, and municipalities.

He specializes in due diligence assessments including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; environmental assessments for infrastructure improvement projects; human health risk assessments; and Brownfields and Remedial Investigations. James has extensive experience performing investigations of properties located throughout Delaware under the Delaware Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA).

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Saint Joseph’s University. His education includes ASTM training for Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Processes; Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training in multiple categories, including Hazardous Waste Operations Safety, Confined Space Entry, Demolition Training, Trenching/Excavation; Hazardous Waste Operations; and General Radiation Worker Training, among other training and certifications.

James is currently providing environmental consulting services for several retail, institutional, industrial, solar farms, other energy related projects, and residential communities located in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
