GTA provided comprehensive Construction Observation and Materials Testing (CoMET) and Special  Inspection services for the new 282,255-SF industrial warehouse facility at 3060 South 61st Street in  Philadelphia, supporting construction from December 2024 through June 2025. Our Special Inspections  included footing subgrade evaluations, including Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing and hand-rod  probing, as well as inspections of reinforcing steel, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel bolting  and welding. GTA also oversaw slab-on-grade and foundation preparations in accordance with the  structural plans and project specifications referenced during construction.  

Site work observation included mass grading, subgrade soil evaluations, structural fill placement and  testing, utility trench backfill verification, asphalt (bituminous concrete) sampling and testing, and  concrete sampling for all cast-in-place structural elements. GTA’s certified technicians and professional  engineering staff delivered reliable testing, documentation, and construction-phase oversight, ensuring  that all inspected work was completed in general accordance with project plans, specifications, RFIs, and  approved submittals.
