About

GTA’s Philadelphia office is providing comprehensive Construction Observation and Materials Testing  services for the new Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) at Germantown Academy in Fort Washington,  PA. The project includes construction of a 6,078-SF, one-story day school supported by new play areas,  parking, utilities, and an underground stormwater management system. Our early involvement covered  key site-work elements such as infiltration bed evaluations, proof-rolls, compaction testing, grading,  earthwork, and utility installation, ensuring a strong foundation for the vertical construction phase.

Additionally, GTA provided special Inspections and materials testing for foundations, subgrades, structural  fill, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, structural steel, asphalt, and wood framing. Our NICET, ICC, AWS,  and ACI-certified technicians—supported by our AASHTO/CCRL-accredited laboratory—provide consistent  testing, documentation, and engineering oversight to verify quality and compliance. This high-visibility  educational project highlights GTA Philadelphia’s expanding role as a trusted partner for K–12,  institutional, and campus development across the region.
