We are pleased to announce the relocation of our Alliance, Ohio office to better serve our clients. GTA established its presence in Ohio in 2011 in Malvern and relocated to Alliance in 2021 with Randy Daub leading the office. Since that time, that Northeastern Ohio office has experienced continued growth, reflecting the strength of our client relationships and increasing demand for our services.

Kimberley McNew has been named an Associate of GTA, recognizing her continued contributions to aquatic resource assessment, restoration, and mitigation projects across the Mid Atlantic. A Professional Wetland Scientist, Kim supports clients through stream and wetland delineation, mitigation design, permitting, construction observation, and monitoring for public and private sector developments. Her experience spans residential, industrial, transportation, and infrastructure projects throughout Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Brandon Richards has been named an Associate of GTA. With more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and special inspections, Brandon supports clients through construction observation, materials testing, and quality assurance services for transportation, municipal, commercial, residential, and mixed use projects across North Carolina and Virginia. His hands on approach and strong coordination skills contribute to successful project delivery in active construction environments.

Andres Villarreal, Ph.D., P.E., has been named an Associate of GTA. Andres provides geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design services for complex projects throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region, with experience spanning industrial, mixed use, residential, and institutional developments. His work also supports GTA’s advanced laboratory testing capabilities, strengthening the technical insight available to clients facing challenging subsurface conditions.

David offers two decades of engineering experience and plays a pivotal role in advancing GTA’s capabilities throughout the Southeast. As a licensed Professional Engineer, he directs technical strategy from due diligence through construction, delivering practical, cost-effective solutions for projects in industrial, residential, commercial, energy, and transportation sectors.

Tyler brings more than a decade of geotechnical expertise and has been instrumental in driving GTA’s growth in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. As a licensed Professional Geologist, he leads our Pittsburgh operations with a focus on regional expansion, strategic initiatives, and tailored solutions for complex projects across diverse markets.

We are excited to announce the opening of GTA’s second office in Ohio, located in Columbus! GTA Vice President, Randy Daub, P.E., is Principal-In-Charge of this new location.

Jacob Fryer has joined GTA as a COT Project Manager and Columbus Branch Manager.

We are pleased to announce that Derek Ridinger has joined GTA as an Associate in our York, Pennsylvania office. Derek has 13 years of professional experience, specializing in geotechnical engineering and construction observation and testing services.

We are pleased to announce that Brent Clemmens has joined GTA as General Counsel. An experienced attorney focusing on business law and risk management, Brent serves as chief legal officer providing legal advice to GTA, ensuring compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements, managing corporate governance, mitigating risk, overseeing contractual agreements, and supporting GTA’s growth initiatives.

Brian Awckland has 21 years of experience providing COT services with GTA. He was integral in opening the Wilkes-Barre office in 2021 and is responsible for overseeing specialized COT services performed by the office.

Zach Klaren has 13 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry and is responsible for overseeing COT projects performed by our Charlotte, NC location. He is experienced in managing and providing consulting on residential, commercial, institutional, and highway/roadway projects in North and South Carolina.

Robert Magyar is a geotechnical engineer, licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, and has been with GTA since graduating from Penn State University in 2013. He oversees geotechnical engineering and construction observation and testing and special inspection services projects performed by our Abingdon, MD location.

David “AJ” Davis has 17 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. With an expertise in ground improvement, soil, slope and sinkhole stabilization, and foundation systems, he is responsible for overseeing construction observation and material testing (COT) services performed by the Quakertown, PA office.

Matt Jennette specializes in natural environmental planning and permitting services throughout the footprint of the Company and oversees solar projects, utilities, business parks and warehouse distribution facilities, mixed-use retail developments, residential communities, and habitat restoration projects.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our Washington, DC office! GTA Vice President, Scott J. Taylor, P.E., a geotechnical engineer, is Principal-In-Charge of this new location. Theresa Gabris, P.G., has joined GTA as an Associate to manage Environmental Consulting services, and Matthew Hartman, also a GTA Associate, is managing Construction Observation and Testing Services.

Randy Daub joined GTA in 2020 as the Associate responsible for opening and managing our Northeastern Ohio office. During his tenure with GTA, he also took on the task of managing our Pittsburgh Metro location. Randy has been instrumental in growing both offices and now serves as a Vice President responsible for overseeing geotechnical and construction observation and testing projects performed from those locations.

Andrew D. McKeen, P.E., has been named a Vice President of GTA and is responsible for overseeing and managing geotechnical engineering projects performed out of our Laurel office. Andy is also responsible for providing construction phase consultation for projects under construction in the Baltimore-Washington corridor.
